Video: Virtual Reality Surgery via Medical Realities

Recorded April 14th, 2016 during Medical Realities Live Stream of a cancer surgery presenting the worlds first 360 degree virtual reality operating theater experience. Outside of becoming a bit nauseous using the Google Cardboard, it was a fantastic experience!

Video below shows the various ways we viewed the 360 stream.

Combining 360 video, 3D and interactive content, The Virtual Surgeon™ from Medical Realities puts you inside the operating theater overseeing an operation through the eyes of the consultant surgeon. The learning program was developed for head mounted displays such as the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR though the live stream could be accessed by just about any device.
